The only existing Cavalry unit of the Commonwealth Army of the Philippines. Unit Insignia courtesy of Gen Aguilar. My estimation of the unit color for Cavalry. As for the #1 I have no idea what it's color was. Aug. 1938, 40th Anniversary Luneta, Manila, P.I. - Khaki Class A with "Gunit" Campaign hat, dark colored shoulder boards of the PA, black Tie and khaki shirt. - rider at the back carries the Squadron Flag. Cannot deternine it's design, except for the diagonal dark and light background. Sorry for the blurred images as this was from a very poor film footage, the only film of this unit ever filmed. Philip

BTW Capt.Felipe Fernandez mentioned that the 26th trained them in Stotsenburg. And I asked him what the 1st PAC wore. Class C khakies, riding breeches, high laced boots with the "Gunit" campaign hat he mentioned.
