Jmodeller and company, you have once again done the amazing!
Oh and BTW, I got your "german cats" pic which will be my all time favorite ;D Salamat.
The group needs just one more thing to make the PS impressions perfect...OD shirts for the EM ranks. It doesn't have to be wool as long as it's the right color.

Great work Scouts! Really nice to see PS "In action" in Philippine native jungle. Jojo has some great shots. Was there a 30 cal. mg crew? Any rollcall on who particpated as scouts? I wish I was there with my band of brothers. Mabuhay ang Philippine Scouts! Keep the spirit alive! Philip

Thanks Philip. Unfortunately, the MG was used by the OPFOR. We only actually had 30 minutes to shoot as our enemies were waiting while we pranced around for photos. If i hadn't had to leave early we would have had a lot more!
From Memory we were: Me, Perry, Jim Tripon, Jojo Nicolas, Erich Nicolas, Jojo Dy, Toym Imao, Diego Imao, Mon Mc Shine, Tad Arroyo, Noy Consolacion and a friend of Jojo's (who'sname escapes me at the moment) peace sir. Hey Philip, would you do the honors of posting a few of these at the WW2 reenactors site? Maybe we can get a POTW again because of our unique subject.

Hi Albert,
Sure I can do it and maybe send me one of the best pics you took so I can period enhance it and remove any non 1940's elements for the WWII forum POTW entry. cheers! Shots of the guys in the rain would have been good atmosphere look.

OMG! What in the world is preventing the filming of an awesome WW2 movie in the Philippines? You guys got enough there to film something like the Aussie film Kokoda.

Shots of the guys in the rain would have been good atmosphere look. Philip Make sure it's not a super obvious photoshop job. Those guys in the WW2 Reenactor's forum are merciless and will criticize and rip anything that is "farby" or obviously fake in the POTW. You have to be a sport and have a thick skin to submit something to the POTW. The biggest thing going for this photoshoot that nobody else has is the flora and terrain. It's unmistakeably Philippine background. Also, try not to pick a picture where someone is holding a rifle/smg pointing down like it's a modern M16. That's a modern carry. Back in WW2, long rifles are carried around in "port arms". The first thing that they will notice and criticize in the WW2 forum is someone carrying a garand like it's an M4. If you watch any WW2 footages, nobody points down their gun like it's an M4, unless they're shooting down on a bunker or foxhole. But notice in the Filipino movie Baler, all the Spanish soldiers were carrying their mausers like they were M4's.. . ;D You should have seen the thread on The Pacific... there was a lot of criticism and discussion on how Dale Dye trained the marines in the series to carry the rifles in the modern carry.

yup i agree. Dale Dye has been getting a lot of flak for that since private ryan. The squad movement towards the german bunkers looked like something from iraq.
