It was a humbling honor and privilege to attend this ceremony. One of his West Point classmates was there. He served with the 3rd Infantry Division and knew Audie Murphy. Here's my little tribute: Direct link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4B8bh__Zbo

Nice One even with the "Pacific" score! Wish I could have made it. Will put together my tribute from the Manila Cemetery next!
Why was it only now this marker ceremony was Officially performed? It's great that our generation was able to witness this ceremony for our Chapter's Honor.
The report says there were the dead bodies of a Japanese officer and two more enemy soldiers next to Lt. Nininger's body which was seen and identified after the fighting? So what happened then when they never found his body?
Thanks for posting these pics and video guys!

The title of the music is "Honor" ... it's very appropriate The body was buried somewhere in Bataan... but after the war it was never found or identified as him, so it wasn't re-buried at Fort McKinley.

This was such a nice tribute and a way of being a part of such a special ceremony celebrating his life and his valiant sacrifice.
