Hi Philip, Ray, Albert, Ray, Jojos & Friends;
I believe you guys have a planned tour at Villa Escudero & you'll have a mtg tomorrow related to this. Here's some things I like to share :
> Its at the Boundary of Quezon & Laguna. Just after the Arc, the left side is Villa Escudero & the fee last 2008 was P2000, more expensive than Corregidor. This includes :
> Tour at the garden with War Relics ( tank, canons, etc. - photos allowed here)
> Tour inside the museum ( photos not allowed - if not caught he-he)
> lunch at the waterfalls (eat all you can - but lunch only)
> When Albert or Jojo & I meet I can send my photos in my USB in my tour at Villa Escudero. Vic Verano posted many photos in his thread, forgot the thread, maybe Vic can show the thread. From the photos you can plan so that you can maximize & prioritize which area you will visit & what poses to do for a photo since its very expensive & only for 1 day.
> Since you only have a 1 day, be there as early as possible, if you can be there at 0700H so you can dress-up & exactly 730 or 8AM, start the tour & photo shoot. Also to avoid the traffic, especially going south, the Skyway is under construction - traffic is heavy. Traffic is heavy on Saturday also, since there is no TRUCK ban & there are lots of trucks. Sunday is the best for traffic. Pls. check if the Museum is open on Sundays (I believe its open, but pls. check).
> If its possible that you may contact the Escuderos in advance to have "cross deal", that would be better. You can give them a copy of the photos you'll shoot there, which they can make it a poster, etc... part of their museum or our group can be a tourist attraction in one of their events later, in exchange we can be there for free. Kaso nga limited ang time since aalis na si Philip. Kung pwede sana yun, mas OK sana, pero kung hindi, the group will pay P2000/ person.
> The best attraction for me there for photo shoot is the Japanese tank which no other place I can see a Japanese tank here. Most specially you can make a story photos of the tank since the 26th Cavalry engage the tanks on its last cavalry charge. So make the most of it. 2nd attraction only are the Japanese canons since it was painted inaccurate & many parts are already missing.
> I believe you plan to make a short film or a group of story photos about the 26th cavalry reenactment. Since while our shoot at Stotsenberg with horses is not yet feasible, we can prioritize the middle & end part of the story of the last cav. charge which the cavalrymen dismounted on the horses, climb the tanks & threw grenades to destroy it. Then when we have an opportunity to have horses, then that's the time we'll combine it with the photos youll have there at Escudero with the Japanese tank. If these happen, then we'll able to complete one package of the story (photo & film) of the 26th cavalry's last charge. Right?
> Here's my suggested photo story. You may take several batches Cavalry men attacking the tanks. 1 batch of shots composed of 2 Cavalry men attacking the tank. Then next batch of shots of the same tank but different angle with 2 or 3 cavalry men (different people with slight variation in uniform) showing there are many Jap tanks & many Cavalrymen. In short even we have only 1 Jap tank , but the film or photo story, it would appear there are many tanks & cavalrymen. Example :
1st batch of photos :
1st shot - Jojo N & Philip in 26th Cavalry wool shirt & brown tall boots with Bataan helmet running (after dismounted on the horse) towards the tank.
One of you be a Japanese already dead lying beside the tank.
2nd shot - the 2 are already climbing the tank
3rd shot - the 2 openning the door on top of the turret
4th shot - one releasing the pin of the grenade (plastic, I have 2 with jojo), the other one about to throw inside
5th shot - the 2 jump from the top of the tank
6th shot - the 2 made a duck on the ground & Philip or anyone can work out in a photo shop an explosion on top of the tank
2nd batch of photos :
1st shot - 3 other members be in 26th Cavalry all khaki uniform & may alter gears running (after dismounted on the horse) running towards the tank.
This time, the same tank, but shoot on the different angle of the tank it would appear a different tank.
2nd shot - the 2 are already climbing the tank, the other one covering on the tank & aiming his cal.45 pistol
3rd shot - (same / similar actions on the 1st batch of photos), the 3rd cavalryman as if shooting someone to cover his 2 comrads
4th shot - (same / similar actions on the 1st batch of photos), the 3rd cavalryman as if shooting someone to cover his 2 comrads
5th shot - (same / similar actions on the 1st batch of photos), the 3rd cavalryman as if shooting someone to cover his 2 comrads
6th shot - (same / similar actions on the 1st batch of photos), the 3rd cavalryman also duck on the ground
3rd batch of photos :
Similar to the 1st & 2nd batch, but this time, the camera focus on 1 Japanese & 1 Cavalryman fighting with bayonet knife & Samurai (or Jap bayonet) on the ground & the background is the tank with cavalrymen climbing on top to destroy it.
> Note that its Gun-Ban, if its only cal. 45 pistol, maybe you can hide it h-he-he. If you guys wont like to have a risk, you may cancel the person shooting the cal.45. pistol on the photo.
