Recent article claims money owed by Phil. Gov.t to Pinoy veterans.

However it sounds more like a Gordon for President campaign...
"Sen. Richard Gordon, who was instrumental in the release of the Filipino World War II veterans’ benefits from the US government, found it excruciating that the Philippine government could not pay its veterans."

The article does not explain how Gordon was instrumental in the above release of benefits or which benefits these are. Perhaps some blogging to the author of the article and his editors to clarify this?
