Wow, the PC were using a kriss? That is quite an information, who wrote it? I could not get the name clear on my screen. Some of the pictures there were from Life Magazine.

I can't read and haven't read the article but I don't think they used kriss... It's a spoils of war...related topic about PC and Muslims was already discussed here.

I haven't really read the whole thing yet. I'll take a better picture later. I think they were just showing some of the weapons of the Pulajans and Juramentados.

Yes the kriss pictures are to illlustrate the hand to hand weapons commonly used in the Philippines in the early days of the PC.

Yup, I got it too. Check out the list of people who helped contribute to the article. The last name may well be familiar..... ;D
Article is by Paul Scarlata...he writes articles in Shotgun News quite often on the historical arms and ammunition used by different countries around the world.
He is also working on a piece for the Philippine Army. When it comes out there should be a nice photo of a well armed Infantry Co from Iloilo, from my meager collection.
