Thanks Rudy,
I like the way it really came out and worked well with the Mariveles Mountains, looking like an early "colored" photo done by the magazine.
Still trying to figure out how to insert you and make it work in the Fort Stotsenburg pic.

There we go! Great work, Philip.
BTW, what's the easiest way to "white-out" an image's background in Photoshop? I'm trying to do images with an all-white background but am not really a Photoshop person.

Thank you Gents! A little acknowledgement to our scout reenacting and a tribute to the legacy of the scouts. ;D
As for the quickiest way to create a white BG, use the lasso tool and create lines completely around the subject you want to keep. Then when it's fully encircled, copy and paste to a new white blank background page. Then you may have to go in around the edges to paint over with white to remove the excess. hope this helps.

The photo on the header, of the two Scouts behind the M3, is so spot on it's almost eery. I wouldn't be too surprised to see a black-and-white version on the internet in a few years being touted as an original photograph...I love how you guys wear your equipment--like REAL soldiers who have been to the field. Not to knock the other reenactors in the photos, but when they stand next to you in the photos, you can see they aren't used to wearing field equipment...Also, you guys are practicing GREAT muzzle awareness--no hands on muzzles, no weapons randomly pointed at other folks. I would love to get to Virginia and attend an event with you guys! Respectfully, Matt

Respectfully, Matt Thanks Matt, We will be glad to have you next year for the tactical in Louisa and the VMMV open house in Brentsville Virginia. I talked to the VMMV organizers to have a Battle of Battan re-enactment for the public and got a positive response. We will be contacting the growing number of Japanese re-enactors in the East coast to participate. Hopefully we'll have a scenario that will involve the participation of the Bren carriers, Scout Cars, and the M3. - Don

Greetings Philip,
Great work on the newly rediscovered National Geographic photo. It looks very authentic. Maybe you can find some more of these "lost" vintage pictures. Maybe, there's a whole article just like the Life magazine article with the Carl Mydans photos.
Greetings Victor,
We'd been hoping that you would reinforce us on these events and grace us with your presence. We're still trying to look for more recruits. Many are interested but few are willing to take the challenge.
Greetings Mandres,
Your comments are greatly appreciated and welcome. I'm glad that you approve of our presentation which makes our efforts worthwhile.

No Vic. Since you are the cavalryman, you will be one of the first to fight the Japanese. We will be the one reinforcing you. ;D

Cool pics! I am the Soviet paratrooper with the RPK74. I have been looking for more pics of the VMMW open house...glad I found this one. If any of you have any more pics of the Russian assault from the BMP please let me know! Thanks
