Here comes another one...
One of my earliest memories of 'dressing up' involved playing Snoopy trying to shoot down the infamous Red Baron. I was grade 4 and I made my flight suit out of a plastic grocery bag (flying helmet) and my nerdy glasses (goggles)... some 20 years after I decided to revisit the golden age of air warfare dressed as my old nemesis:
Here I've decided to host one of my victims, an Allied airman, at the local fair before his trip to our one of our Stalag Luft's.
With hindsight I should have used red soutache instead of ribbon... sigh... live and learn.
