Here are just a few samples..... Lots of photos from Philippine "West Point" also Some Guerrilla photos: Here's an interesting photo: Captioned as: "Filipino crowds throng about as men of the 148th Infantry Regiment pass along Manila street with wounded Japs in tow, Luzon, Philippine Islands." Note the late war soldiers in uniform, with M1 helmet and garands, but the guy in front with the old M1917A1 helmet, and he appears to be carrying a jap T-99 rifle....possible 1942 leftover?? Check the site out, literally HUNDREDS of great old photos

the men in the first guerrilla photo (the shot with the american??? mounted on the horse) all seem to be uniformly equipped with M-1 carbines. I wonder if these weapons were issued by US liberation forces, already fighting on luzon or leyte, or came in on a submarine supply mission from australia. just wondering??? also that guy with the "sergeant york" helmet leading the prisoner group looks like he is finally "getting his time at bat" against the japanese. good for him.

Bravo! Thanks for the link. I heard about the program at U Wisconsin. I did not know they digitized the photo collection. I found a picture of Ramon A. Alcaraz, Phil. Navy among the photos. He was at the Phil. Scouts reunion last weekend. He is the rightmost in the picture.
