First Question ---where did you buy the San Miguel beer in England, As only the Spanish version can be seen in London? The rifle looks good! Can you fire blacks or is it completely deactivated? I was going to buy a Russian Noisant or old Enfield at the Kent Fair, but all the guns were doctored & thus could not fire blanks. if only the Brit. Authorities would smooth bore them, converting them to shotgun status. have you attended any Phil. Fiesta's to enlist recruits yet? Good photos mate, keep going!

Credit should all go to Tim and John, they're there already on Saturday after a 4 1/2 hours drive so that they can set up the place in time for Sun-Mon events. I'll post some more pics and maybe Tim can walk you guys on each of it that will interest you since most of them are his and hand made (liked to call it that instead of reproduced to emphasized the skills involve)by him to Military Period specs...Table, crates, tin, bombs, boxes, chocolate, etc.....
insurrectomad- Too bad we haven't met. SMB, from a Filipina that deliver to us here in Northampton from Bedford but this is sometimes available in Earl's Court London. SMB (Beer) the current designs hardly differ from 1940's one...just became more wider in diameter and as Tim would say, "the same except the barcode"...The "Spanish" version has nothing to do now with SMB. Since 1954 through "Manila Agreement" they were allowed to manufacture SMB independent of SMB Philippines.
M1- that was Tim's, mine was only an Airsoft one. Old specs that he had for donkey years. Tim was kind enough to teach me and let me stripped it into three.

Its so nice to see the exact impression of the Philippine flag(when at war the red is on top)to represent the condition of the era.(War) So sad we, native Filipinos are not allowed to do that here in our own country, even for reenacting! Why is it that we are not allowed to do that?

It is spelled -
K-U D-E T-A.
Or disrespect for the flag. Unless the country is at war.
You may not have been around when the students at rallies and marches waved the flag around upside down when ever they felt the administration was wrong...

Look up the international distress signs and signals.
One is flying a flag upside down indicates distress. This was before radio and texting...

Thank you...but credit should be given where credit is due. All of this achievement if you can call it that was made possible through the efforts and preparations done by Tim and John. All of the equiptments, set-ups, gears, and everything was theirs. They're the one that did everything, I just showed up in there with my gears. They adopted me and make it possible for me to promote the Scouts and made the people aware about the Philippines and the Filipino's contributions in the war effort in the Pacific. For this I was very lucky to have known them and thankful to be given this opportunity. I'm really embarrassed that the article did not do justice to their contributions and efforts. Here is their site : www.theyankslhg.f9.co.uk/Now Ray and Philip are helping me in putting up a Philippine Commonwealth impressions because people really are taking in to this early part of the War, the Yanks (me, again invited by them) was asked to do a display of this kind again and the organiser are willing to pay the group's expenses.

Congradulations Lawrence!!!
I really hope you get more Pinoys to join reenacting the PS. SInce you are getting great support and financial help. I am proud to have know you! Keep up the great work preserving the legacy and history of the scouts!
Make it known how the defenders of Bataan the USAFFE sacrifice their lives to help America win the war in the opening stages of the Pacific war!
Since America was helping England more in military aid and the Philippines being a commonwealth colony was low priority and yet the Philippine defenders held the longest compared to it's pacific allies who were surrendering quickly.
Philip
