And here's another one from David: "I thought you might like to to see first camouflage uniform! I'm in the centre with Austrian Jaeger uniform of blue/gray tunic & Britches with dark green facings. ("The Gray Wolves"). Most advanced infantry in the Napoleonic War & best And most advanced weapons (at British exspense), such as the double barrelled gun, and the air-rifles and prototype breech loaders. The double barrelled could be 2 rifled barrels or 1 smooth bore for rapid close quarter fighting. Photo taken in the Italian hills 2001, with the newly formed 6th Ausro-Hungarian Grenzers. Note the red capes; the rest of us have Jaeger brown overcoats. The red caps were the trad. garb of Hungarian & Turkish shepherds. Worn to be seen at a long distance up in the mounains And To deter wolves. Just off to drink our victory of driving the French from the castle And taking their cannon. Thus noone is wearing the lether helmets. Im wearing my Hursercut hat. As was copied by the 'Iron Brigade' in the US Civil War. Salute! Hoc! Hoc! Hoc! ---David"
