I watched this DVD last night. I was disappointed. It wasn't a very good movie. I'm somewhat of an armchair treasure hunter, I prefer to read about other people's adventures at my age. I remember years ago reading about the Japanese leaving caches of looted gold around in the Phillipines at the end of the war, but I can't remember where I got this info. I wondered if somebody in this forum could recommend some books that tell this story? Thanks in advance.

I saw a History Channel or National Geographic special about Yamash-ita's gold a couple of years ago. The DVD from that special may be for sale from the history channel website.

You didn't mispell it bearcat. The forum automatically converts anything with an s-h-i-t to something else. Like a censor. So I put a dash in it so it will spell correctly: Yamash-ita.

Well that's good to know. I just read my post above before I saw yours, and I thought OH no! How could I do that again? Now I know.
